This is the final event of our season. Proceeds will be go towards maintaining our very own Dyke Farm Nature Reserve and other worthy wildlife causes. There will be all the usual sales stalls, bric-a-brac, home baking, books, bird feeders & food, etc, as well as, of course, tea and coffee. Raflle tickets are on sale at 20p each or £1 for a book. You could win the the top prize of £100 (donated by A.M.Grieves, Newsagents), the second prize of £25 or one of the many other prizes on offer.
Following on the success of last year, there is a separate raffle giving you the chance to win a spectacular carving of a Golden Eagle. This carving, currently on display at Grieves Newsagents, has been donated by local chainsaw artist Peter Bowsher and is another wonderful example of his talent. The three images below illustrate the scale of the carving and the fine detail that Peter has produced. Click on any image for a larger view. Tickets for this special raffle cost £1 and are now available from Grieves Newagents.
